What HAVE You Been Doing With Your Time?

I am a liar, on many counts.

Have I posted further pictures of the flat? Non. Have I posted images of the 3D model I have been working on of the flat? Non. Have I posted more cute pictures of the kids? Non.

I CAN take care of the last two, though. C’est voila, an image of my model…

An image of the 3D Model I am making of the Flat.

…and more importantly…

Finley & Sawyer on the couch

Sisters. Matching Tops, Matching Smiles.

But, palliatives to the side, what HAVE we been doing? Well, Lana begins teaching tomorrow. She spent time at the British Library throughout last week– renewing her card, requesting & reading books, and negotiating the mysteries of “pumping” whilst at the Library itself. (I foresee an edit coming.) We met her at Russell Square on Saturday; went to lunch at Belgos (one of my all-time favorite restaurants in London), and then headed to Corams Fields so the kids could hit up the “adventureland” therein (an adventureland is like a “big toy” or playground structure, not a ripoff of the amusement park in Altoona, IA known to my fellow Midwesterners). Lunch was delicious, but unfortunately, Corams Field was a bust. Kids got too tired, and the playground, while probably very nice in warmer months, seemed a bit dilapidated in the midst of the winter. We had Sunday Lunch at The Albion with our friend Suzy today– a great lunch, and a good friend.

So, in some ways, we haven’t been up to much. But it has been very nice doing it. The kids are pretty well acclimatized (with the exception of Sawyer’s sleeping schedule), and we are beginning to get into the habits and routines of life.

As soon as that baby can remember how to sleep, life will be stunning.

Countdown Clock

Three bags packed– all the clothing (yes, Lana managed to keep herself to one bag only); have to finish the “toy” suitcase & finalize all the carry-ons.
Began this post last night; it has since been “superseded.” As of now, the main things that remain to be packed (humorously, autocorrect REALLY wants that to be “thongs,” not “things”) are several pair of shoes, some medical supplies, our router, and some last-minute wash items.

And, as far as “last-minute wash” goes, the kids are finally having a bath. It would seem that this is a truly novel event– bathing this early in the day has been the cause of much mirth and hilarity. Which of course has led to much rough-housing, and the dreaded splashing of bath water. Ah, well. If only one could guarantee that these youthful high spirits would be expended NOW, rather than, say, as an example, on the 11 hour-long flight. Just for instance.
